Behind the Brand

In 2023, after years of experience as a Producer, Stylist, and Creative Director in the fashion industry, Chamone decided to take a leap and begin sewing her own clothes.

Inspired by her love for fashion, her passion for celebrating Black womanhood, and her desire to create pieces that help women feel seen and confident, Chamone Diane was born.

Swimwear became the foundation of the brand through personal experience. Chamone often struggled to find swimwear that not only fit her body well, but also felt comfortable to wear, especially suits with straps that dug into the skin or created tension. She wanted pieces that felt chic and supportive without compromising comfort or fit.

With a deep love for travel and tropical destinations, some of Chamone’s most meaningful memories have always been connected to being near a body of water. During those moments, she longed for swimwear that felt beautiful, flattering, and well made.

What began as four swimsuits made for her own vacations quickly evolved into something more. After sharing the swimsuits online and seeing how strongly people connected with them, Chamone decided to continue designing and officially launch Chamone Diane.
